By using the Site or Services, you agree to these Terms. This applies whether or not you create an account.

2. What We Do (and Don't Do)

Findacaregiver.co.uk is an online platform that helps people looking for care (“Care Seekers”) and people offering care (“Carers”) connect with each other. We provide tools like job listings, carer profiles, search and messaging tools, and safety tips and guidance.

Important — we do not:

• Recommend or select carers for you.
• Check every user's identity or qualifications.
• Guarantee the quality of care provided.
• Get involved in agreements between users.

We simply provide a place for people to connect. We do, however, check whether the carer has the right to work in the UK.

3. Your Responsibilities

Because we don't fully verify users, you are responsible for your own decisions.

If you are a Care Seeker, you should:

• Interview carers.
• Check ID and qualifications.
• Check Enhanced DBS is up to date (Police clearance).
• Ask for references.
• Check PVG checks for Scotland.

If you are a Carer, you should:

• Check who you are working for.
• Agree clear terms before starting work.
• Follow all relevant UK laws for care work.
• Have any required registrations (e.g. Ofsted for childminders).

4. Who Can Use the Site

You can only use the Site if:

• You are 18 or older.
• You can legally enter into a contract.
• Carers must be legally allowed to work in the UK.

By using the Site, you confirm that:

• You are legally allowed to agree to these Terms.
• You have not been involved in serious criminal activity related to violence, abuse, fraud, or similar offences.
• You are not on any safeguarding or offender register.

5. Using the Site Properly

Your Account

• Your account is personal to you.
• You are responsible for anything done using your account.
• You must not share or transfer it.

Content You Post

You are responsible for anything you post, including profiles, messages, and reviews. You must not post anything that is:

• False or misleading.
• Offensive, abusive, or illegal.
• Discriminatory.
• Infringing someone else's rights.

We may remove content if we think it breaks the rules.

How We Can Use Your Content

By posting content, you give us permission to use it (for example, to display it on the Site).

Subscriptions

12. Your Agreements with Other Users

Any agreement between a Care Seeker and a Carer is between you and them only. We are not part of:

• Hiring decisions.
• Payments.
• Disputes.

If something goes wrong, you must resolve it directly with the other person.

13. Liability (Important)

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for:

• The actions of other users.
• The quality of care provided.
• Any losses, damages, or disputes between users.

You use the Site at your own risk.

However, nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded (e.g. death or personal injury caused by negligence).

14. Safety

You should always take precautions when interacting with others, especially if meeting in person. Please refer to our Safety page for guidance on staying safe when using the platform.

15. Legal Details

• These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
• Any disputes will be handled in the courts of England and Wales.

16. General

• These Terms do not create an employment or partnership relationship.
• If part of these Terms is invalid, the rest still applies.
